WHY CHARITY QUILTS HAPPEN! from Kwilty Pleasures

There are many reasons WHY Charity quilts happen.

I'm gonna tell you how they happens in MY sewing room.

I begin a project and then loose interest or just don't like how it's coming together.
For instance, I can’t even remember when I began working on this Plaidish 2 quilt!
I thought using up my OSU Buckeyes scraps would be the thing to do.
Add a bit of red, black and gray…TOUCHDOWN!

PATTERN TEST - HOLDONG HEARTS from Kwilty Pleasures

I love to
Pattern test for Corrine Wells at
Frannie B Quilt Comoany!

I recently tested this pattern…
I needed it to fit the perimeters of my charity quilts
for Stitching Sisters.

I wasn’t crazy about the small hearts or
Setting the blocks on point.

This top will go to Stitching Sisters here in CBUS.
We make lapquilts for cancer patients.
They have a sewing center and I pick fabrics from
their huge stash....donations from others.

These ...

IT'S AN EDIT-ORIAL TEST PATTERN from Kwilty Pleasures

Another pattern test, Another Charity Quilt!
I love pattern testing AND paying it forward!

This was my recent pattern test!

My favorite quit charity is Stitching Sisters
Columbus OH

A huge effort that to date has made and disturbuted
39,000 quilts, yep three zeros!

At their sewing center I shop their stash
to make the lap size quilts.
I thought this pattern would be a great
Red, white (cream) and blue color combo!

The Editorial Quilt pattern is Jelly Roll friendly,
But I cut strips from FQs.

Strip sets were quick to make.

Blocks appeared just as fast!
